Ghosts and Unexplained Phenomena: Rick Fisher
Rick Fisher has had an interest in the paranormal since an early age, in 1997 he founded the Pennsylvania Ghost Hunters Society which investigates reported hauntings. An innovator in modern ghost hunting techniques he teaches classes on Paranormal Investigating at a local community college and his techniques are used by many paranormal groups. Fisher has conducted hundreds of investigations and appeared on such programs as the Travel Channel’s “Ghostly Gettysburg” and “Supernatural Destinations” as well as local TV and numerous newspapers and radio programs.
Owner and operator of Fisher Productions he hosts a Haunted Workshop and Paranormal Conference each year along with walking and driving ghost tours of Lancaster County, PA and is a frequent lecturer on the subject of the paranormal. His story telling presentations of “Ghosts of the River Towns” and “Haunted Tales of Lancaster County” has won praise from many organizations. He is the editor and publisher of “Paranormal Pennsylvania & Beyond” magazine and author of an upcoming book “Ghosts of the River Towns.”
Rick enjoys reading and listening to stories on the paranormal and as a member of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society enjoys hiking in the woods in search of the legendary creature known as Bigfoot. Rick resides in Lancaster, PA.

I was born in Greensburg Pennsylvnaia. I attended high school and recieved my college degree from a private liberal arts college in NW Pennsylvania where I received my bachelor of arts degree in Communication. I am married to my lovely wife kathy for 5 years and we have 3 cats. Maxx, Patches and Aly. Although we have no children yet, we are in the adoption process. I began my fascination with Bigfoot at the age of 10. At the age of 14, I met stan Gordon who would inspire me to become a Bigfoot field researcher. in 1999, Steve Anderson, Henry Benton and I formed the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society. in January of 2000. I was given the position of Director of the PBS which I have held since.
My hobbies and interests include fishing, Hunting, Hiking, I enjoy the study of the paranormal including, ghosts, ufo's, bigfoot and my favoirte Holiday is Halloween. I collect movies and books about the paranormal from Ghosts to Bigfoot. I enjoy all sorts of movies from comedy, action and horror movies. I also enjoy listening to hard rock, 80's rock, some country, but I hate Rap. I spent the first 7 years out of College as an on air radio personality at WPQR 99.3 fm and WASP 94.9 fm. I currently am employed for a major communication company as a software engineer.

Stan Gordon's interest in UFO's and other unusual happenings began at age 10.
Since 1965, Stan has been conducting on scene investigations of mysterious encounters in Pennsylvania. He has been involved with the examination of thousands of UFO and other strange reports from across the Keystone State. During the late 1960's, Stan acted as a telephone report sighting coordinator for the UFO Research Institute of Pittsburgh. Stan has been internationally recognized as an authority on the subject of the UFO and Bigfoot phenomena. He gained prominence from his first hand investigation into the well remembered 1973 Bigfoot/UFO series of sightings and encounters which occurred in Pennsylvania. This outbreak brought worldwide attention to the subject, and was a major news story in the media for several weeks.
Stan was the Founder and Director of the Pennsylvania Association for the Study of the Unexplained. He organized PASU in 1981 to serve as a statewide clearinghouse for these reports. P ASU was an all volunteer research unit which ceased operation in November of 1993. Stan had previously founded the Westmoreland County UFO Study Group in 1970, which was expanded to the Pennsylvania Center for UFO Research in 1975. Stan was also the Pennsylvania State Director of the Mutual UFO Network for many years. MUFON is the largest international UFO research organization now based in Denver, Colorado. Stan was the first recipient (1978) of the annual MUFON "Meritorious Achievement in A UFO Investigation Award."
Stan has conducted an adult education course on the subject of UFO's at the Westmoreland County Community College. In addition, he has presented numerous lectures on these subjects to professional and civic organizations and he has received many requests from schools, colleges, and organizations both locally and nationally for similar presentations. Stan has been listed in the Directory of Experts, Authorities, and Spokespersons, formerly called the Talk Show Guest Directory. He is also listed in The International Who's Who in UFOlogy Directory.
Stan has been featured in dozens of news stories about his investigations. He was featured in an April 29, 1982 Associated Press national news story. Over the years both the AP and UPI news services have carried news items on cases that Stan has investigated. Stan was featured as the cover story of Pittsburgh Renaissance Magazine in March of 1974. Numerous other magazines and publications have done feature items, or have recognized Stan for his research efforts. Included among these are the Pittsburgh Press Roto Magazine, The Greensburg Tribune-Review FOCUS, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Sports Illustrated, The National Enquirer, The National Observer, and The Globe.
Stan is also quite often invited to appear on radio and TV talk shows as a featured guest. Among the dozens of stations he has appeared on are KDKA radio and TV in Pittsburgh, WBAL Radio in Baltimore, Maryland, WFAR in Dallas, Texas, WIND in Chicago, Illinois, KFRC, San Francisco, California, and WBZ, Boston, Massachusetts.
Stan has also appeared on programs such as UFO's Tonite, hosted by Don Ecker, and 21st Century Radio, with Dr. Bob Hieronimus. He has also been featured on numerous radio and TV news shows including: KDKA, WPXI, WTAE, and KQV in Pittsburgh. He has also been featured on some syndicated TV shows such as Evening Magazine for CBS, and PM Magazine for NBC. In 1982, Hollywood television producer Alan Neuman who has done such shows as Kraft Theater, The Academy Awards, and Meet the Press, came to Greensburg to film Stan for a proposed series on the Unexplained to be filmed worldwide.
Stan has written numerous articles on the unexplained covering topics from UFO's to black panthers seen in Pennsylvania. Most of these articles have been in publications devoted to this study. Dozens of articles which Stan has written have appeared in such publications as SKYLOOK, The MUFON UFO Journal, Pursuit, and the GATE.
Stan has been recognized for his paper published in the 1974 MUFON UFO Symposium Proceedings titled "UFO's in Relation to Creature Sightings in Pennsylvania." This paper has been quoted extensively by other researchers worldwide. Many books have given Stan credit for his research. Among these are: Creatures of the Outer Edge, by Clark and Coleman; UFO Dynamics, by Dr. Berthold E. Schwarz; The Bigfoot Casebook, and Alien Animals, by Bord; Bigfoot, by Slate and Berry; and Bigfoot On the East Coast by Rick Berry.
Stan was the Editor of the PASU Data Exchange, a newsletter covering current cases of phenomena being investigated in Pennsylvania. The newsletter was basically an exchange publication, and for keeping researchers, the news media, and law enforcement agencies aware of current activity. Kelly L. Weaver is the Founder of the Spirit Association of Pennsylvania formerly known as the Capital Ghost Forum. Kelly grew up in a haunted 19th century home in Hummelstown and at an early age discovered she could detect and communicate with the spirits present. John Weaver is an art director/illustrator and photographer who investigates hauntings with his psychic-medium wife, Kelly. Fundamentally a "skeptic", John uses his wife as part of the "equipment" to determine and even stimulate the presence of paranormal activity which he documents with still and video cameras. Working with Kelly has resulted in his experiencing several dramatic encounters with ghosts ranging from hearing disembodied voices to touches to seeing (together with Kelly) the full apparition of their beloved German Shepherd, Bleu. He has an Art Degree and reads extensively on various historical subjects, concentrating on the Civil War, World War II and Transatlantic Ocean Liners. His interest in the paranormal also includes UFOs, fostered by a well-documented sighting when 13 years old. John has been a hockey goaltender for over 30 years and is a sports car enthusiast and avid fan of open-wheel motor racing.

Mike Frizzell is co-founder and research director of The Enigma Project, a Maryland-based organization that has investigated and documented claims of unexplained phenomena since 1978. He has authored articles on such subjects as North Carolina’s Brown Mountain Lights, Ice Falls, Pennsylvania’s Ringing Rocks, Maryland Bigfoot encounters, and the Beast of Chesapeake Bay. An enthusiast of Charles Fort’s writings, Mike is a past vice-president of the International Fortean Organization (INFO). As a child, his interests in the unexplained were ignited by stories of the Abominable Snowman, the Loch Ness Monster, and The Interrupted Journey--Barney and Betty Hill’s account of UFO abduction. When he’s not investigating the unexplained, Mike pursues the hobby of cultivating common and rare medicinal plants. By profession, Mr. Frizzell is an engineering technician with the University of Maryland’s Dept. of Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology. He and his family live in Reisterstown, MD.

Dr. Katherine Ramsland teaches forensic psychology at DeSales University and has published hundreds of articles and twenty books, including books on profiling, forensic science, psychology, and the paranormal. Her book, "Ghost: Investigating the Other Side," examined the practices and claims of a variety of ghost hunters and "Piercing the Darkness" took her undercover into the vampire subculture. Her latest book, co-written with Gregg McCrary, will be "The Unknown Darkness: Profiling the Predators Among Us."
Dr. Ramsland will consult the society on the analysis of potential crime scenes, to exclude them as paranormal in nature, and will direct on what type of analysis will be needed.
