
Rick Fisher has had an interest in the paranormal since an early age when he saw what he believes to have been a ghost. Since then Rick has spent much of his life in search of answers into the unknown. Rick’s journey has taken him to interesting places and has given him the opportunity to meet interesting people. In1997 he founded the Pennsylvania Ghost Hunters Society which is now the Paranormal Society of Pennsylvania and investigates reported hauntings, strange creatures, UFO’s, mysterious places, and unexplained phenomena.
An innovator in modern ghost hunting techniques he was the first ghost hunter to use a digital camera, digital recorder, motion sensors and surveillance cameras when conducting investigations of reported haunted places. His techniques are used by many paranormal groups. He teaches classes on Paranormal Investigating at a local community college and has conducted hundreds of investigations and appeared on such programs as the Travel Channel’s “Ghostly Gettysburg” and “Supernatural Destinations” as well as local TV and numerous newspapers, books, magazines and radio programs.
Owner and operator of Fisher Productions he hosts a Haunted Workshop and the annual Paranormal Pennsylvania Conference each year along with walking and driving ghost tours of Lancaster County, PA and is a frequent lecturer on the subject of the paranormal having lectured for schools, libraries, civic organizations, and conferences which include the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society's Conference, Don Keating’s Ohio Bigfoot Expo Conference, Ed Okonowicz’s History and Haunts Conference, International Ghost Hunters Society Conference in Gettysburg, PA, Kelly Weaver’s Independent Ghost Hunters Conference, Kelly and John Weaver's Spirit Day in May, and The Maryland Paranormal Investigators Coalition Conference. His story telling presentations of “Ghosts of the River Towns” and “Haunted Tales of Lancaster County” has won praise from many organizations. He is the editor and publisher of Paranormal Pennsylvania magazine and author of the “Ghosts of the River Towns.” Rick was a guest for a Special Chat Session on Spirit Photography on James Van Praagh's Chat Room and received a certificate in the study of Parapsychology from Flamel College, he is currently enrolled in a Certificate program in Parapsychological Studies from HCH Institute with famed ghost hunter and parapsychologist Loyd Auerbach as the instructor.

In his spare time he enjoys reading and listening to stories on the paranormal and visiting haunted and mysterious places. Rick is also a Reiki Master/Teacher.
A member of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society he has conducted several field expeditions to an area where sightings of a Bigfoot have been reported, and organized an expedition with several research groups to investigate the mysterious stone chambers of Putnam County, NY and is currently involved in an on going EVP project.
Although Rick’s main interests are Ghosts he currently is investigating the supposed landing of a UFO in a silt pond in Carbondale, PA in 1974 and hopes to write a book about the incident.
In July 2004 Rick was honored at the National Paranormal Awards conference held in Baltimore, MD hosted by the Maryland Paranormal Investigators Coalition and received the 2004 Special Achievement Award in Paranormal Research.
For several years Rick has been collecting various items and artifacts related to the paranormal and other unexplained mysteries in an attempt to preserve some of histories mysteries. He is the founder, Executive Director and Curator of the National Museum of Mysteries and Research Center a non profit organization which is in its beginning stages.
The 2007 Spirit Award is presented to Rick Fisher by Spirit Society of Pennsylvania's founders Kelly and John Weaver at Fright Nite. The award was presented for his support of the SSP and the high standards he has brought to paranormal research and investigation.
